The personal chaos I experienced when moving to the U.S. was losing access to the most important person in my life - my grandmother. Leaving her meant I would lose access to an ancient culture and knowledge about nutrition and food. It also meant I would slowly forget the native language of my home country because I could no longer hear her voice. My grandmother spoke a native dialect that even my parents could only understand but could not speak. I was hoping I would keep my grandmother's native dialect 'alive' and pass it to our next generation. But I couldn't do that when I immigrated to the U.S.

Some emotional chaos I personally experience with moving to the United States was that I’m not seeing my family a lot any more the way I use to and I can’t hangout with my friend anymore and it’s hard for me to make new friends because I’m shy and scared because I didn’t speak English and I didn’t know what people was going to say if I talk and the worst part was when I heard one of my best friend die when I come so it’s was hard for me , do deal with the news and with a new country I’m living in.

My own experience of moving in USA looks very good. Of course when I first came in USA, I was shocked by the level of everything here. Every little detail was impressing me wherever I go or whatever I see. Cars, buildings, people, everything is different. I felt the wind of the freedom. I thought “this is the country where I can free my mind from garbage”.

I think it was hard for me to understand any work or assignment the teacher gave me. Also making friends , and not only that but also I had a lot of pressure, at that time I was so stressed out.

If just me come to U.S then my personal pressure will be many, come here no friend, don't know how to speak the second language which is bad also I don't want go to school becasue I don't know English I scared when teacher was ask me question about me.

When I moved to United states I personally didn't experience any emotional chaos as most of my family are in US and Canada. However I do miss many of the friends that were in my school.

when I came to United States, I had a big stress.
I remember this moment, when I first time came to my middle school. 
The teacher was asking me something, but I was not understanding and I started to cry and panic. 
And then the whole day people was trying to communicate with me, but I couldn’t understand it, it’s why I was scared.

I will say yes, I have overcome a lot of stuff that has happen. For example, now I'm happy that I can understand my friends, family, or anyone. At first I really thought I wouldn't learn English and that was my biggest fear. But as the years pass by I understood that I had to be strong and confident in myself. However with what I'm learning now, can help me a lot in the future, like getting a job or anything that iI want to accomplish in life.

I didn't feel any personal chaos before and I don't feel it today, overcoming the struggles of adapting to a new language was not that hard as I had expected. After coming to the US I felt better because I know I'm in a better place where I can live a better life.

I feel better now because now I was not scared to talk my classmate also I can make friend in this country, in the before I everyday have chaos emotional from school becasue I don't understand English a lot so is hard to face my teacher. Right now I feel like New York is my home.
Now, I have a friends, I became more closer with my family when I came here, and now I speak english.
I feel so comfortable here and I like it.
So if I gonna see a new student who doesn’t speak English or like panicking because it’s a first day, I will help this person with schedule and support little bit, to make a person to feel better. Because he is not the only who going through this.

I feel like I have overcome it. I now have new friends, new neighbors, and new classmates.

I feel comfortable cause I have couple friends (Hey Aylin!)
I know couple places to go and I definitely feel like I’m in my country. The American dream is the idea that I aim for. I want to grow up, live, work and study here. Have family, raise my kids - only in USA!
It’s my third month here and I can state that I’m feeling really good here

i guess good because i speak more english and i can make more friends , sometimes i struggles by thinking that problaly my dad or my mom can get reported by immigration

At the first time when I flew to New York it was very difficult , especially morally , not knowing the language , people , manners , it was difficult , but later I began to get used to it , of course and now it isn’t easy , because another 100 percent do not know the language and also I am not completely used to it , but day after day it gets better , I think after a while everything will be fine !
