         <description><![CDATA[<div>The introduction of illegal alcohol production caused a rise in gangs and&nbsp;organized crime.  These large organizations were referred to as The Mob. These organizations engaged in bootlegging, weapon-trade, and other illegal activities. They gained power and overwhelming monetary power through illegal activities. The Mob used its power to gain more power and influenced the government to where the government had to intervene.</div>]]></description>
