<title>Global warming, ever heard of it? Obviously, you have. But you don&#39;t know much about it, huh. Well, global warming is a world wide 🌎 problem, hence the name. And, right now, you might think its not your problem. You haven&#39;t thrown plastic in the ocean and you don&#39;t pollute the earth. Actually, you do have a part in it. I do, too. Everyone does. With all the cars and factories etc, producing smoke and carbon dioxide, the ozone layer weakens- the ozone layer is the border between us and the sun- and the more it weakens, the closer Earth is to becoming a HOT BALL OF FIRE 🔥🔥 FLOATING IN SPACE 🌌! I don&#39;t really want that, to be honest. And I am COMPLETELY convinced that global warming is a huge problem, though some cynics may disagree. Why? The sea levels rise because of global warming, it harms animals brutally (and even us!), and it make the temperatures rise so much ♨! Don&#39;t believe me? just read for yourselves.</title>

<title>One reason why global warming is a huge problem is because it makes sea levels rise. For example, an unknown article by scholastic.com says as Earth heats up thanks to the sun, ice melts and sea water expands. Sea levels have already risen by 10 to 25 cm!! ----------------------- In addition to that, in 2014, according to oceanservice.nova.gov, the water was 2.6 inches more than it was 21 years ago! Thats 6.604 cm. An unknown article wrote &quot; The top of the ocean is 4 to 8 inches higher than it was a century ago.&quot; -----------------------And we have to think about the future, too. &quot;pbs.org&quot; says that by 2050, sea levels could rise by 19 inches,48.26 cm, according to a new report published by Wednesday called &quot;mid-range projections&quot; Global Warming is a huge problem when it comes to sea levels rising. Currently, sea levels rise about 1/8 of an inch per year! </title>

<title>Another reason why global warming is a big deal is because it harms animals and somehow us, too! -----------------------The Earth&#39;s ecosystem works in a complicated balance. Its meant to be perfectly balance and completely undisturbed. And global warming and temperature change disturbs this balance. But how does this affect animals? It affects animals when they lose their habitat, such as forests or the arctic. And this exact circumstance is happening in Australia. Australia has been having bushfires since September 2019 and a whopping 1 billion animals have perished and the fires have killed at least 24 people, destroyed more than 2,000 homes and scorched more than 15 million acres of land, according to an article called &quot; How Many Animals Have Died in Australia’s Wildfires?&quot; on www.nytimes.com. &quot; At its worst, it is feared that global warming may cause a shocking quarter of all land animals, bird life, and plants to become extinct!&quot; says an anonymous scientist. ----------------------- And global warming doesn&#39;t just stop there, it also affects us! Global warming does exaggerate temperatures, which is already SUPER annoying, but global warming also causes changes in storms and even makes the most intense and severe weather events happen unexpectedly! Global warming seriously needs to stop, don&#39;t you think? </title>

<title>Perhaps the most important reason why global warming is a big deal is because temperatures rise way too much. The world becomes hotter each day, increasing at an average rate of 18° celcius since 1981, according to an article called &quot;Climate Change: Global Temperature&quot; from the website climate.gov. But how does the climate rise, you may be asking. Well, let me give you an insight on history. -----------------------According to &quot;reference.com&quot;, most scientists and historians believe that global warming happened during the 18th and 19th centuries, or during the Industrial Revolution. The industrial revolution was when all factories and industries and workplaces became more advanced, meaning they produced more smoke and CO2. And then, the greenhouse effect comes in. According to an article called &quot; What Is The Greenhouse Effect&quot; on climatekids.nasa.gov, the greenhouse effect is a process that happens when gases in the Earth&#39;s atmosphere trap the sun&#39;s heat. Those gases are called &quot;greenhouse gases&quot;. This makes the Earth much warmer than it would be without an atmosphere and one of the things that makes Earth a comfortable place to live. The greenhouse gases consists of carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrious oxide (N2O), and fluorinated gases, according to an article on epa.gov called &quot;Overview of Greenhouse Gases&quot;. But too much of a good thing can be bad. According to &quot;Humans: The Major Cause of Global Warming&quot; on ucsusa.org, we produced so much of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere when burning and extracting coal, oil, gas, fossil fuels, etc. And that increased greenhouse gases. And this is where the ozone layer is introduced. The ozone layer is the border between us and the rays of the sun. But due to the increasing of greenhouse gases, the ozone layer weakens, heating up the world. So, how much temperature has increased? -----------------------</title>

<title>In an article called &quot; Is it getting too hot, or what?&quot; on theworldcounts.com, according to a study conducted by the NASA&#39;s Goddard Institute, Earth&#39;s average global temperature has risen by 1.4° Fahrenheit since 1880. But why should anyone be scared of a 1 degree increase in tempreture? Well, global temperature primarily depends on the amount of energy it receives from the sun and how much is radiated back into space. The numbers change very little. The amount of energy that is radiated back into space is dependent on the chemical composition of the atmosphere. Changes on the global scale happen very slowly normally. So, therefore, a 1 degree increase in global temperature is very important. &quot; But the historical record also shows that over the past 100 years or so, tempretures have been rising exceptionally fast&quot; notes Allegra LeGrande, a climate scientst at the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies and the Center for Climate Systems Research -----------------------And what about the future? Well, according to &quot;scied.ucar.edu&quot; on an article called &quot;Predictions of Future Global Climate&quot;, in 20 years, about 0.2° Celsius will rise by 2050! The climate is rising as we speak, so we need to do something quickly!! </title>

<title>So, I guess it&#39;s safe to say, global warming is a huge deal and we need to do something. Because, it make sea levels rise, its harms our animals and us too, and it makes temperatures rise. And we NEED to do something. Now, many cynics say that the temperature has been fluctuated, or has risen and fallen irregularly in number, and now there is some truth in that..it is also true that the 2000s and 2010s have been the HOTTEST years yet, and who knows what will happen in the 2020s! If the temperature has always been &quot;fluctuated&quot; as you say, why hasn&#39;t the 1700s been recorded the coldest years? Or the 1600s been the hottest recorded years? The world is warming up. And the worst part is that this is a man made problem and can be fixed! So, lets try to do something. Maybe, the first step should be using less energy! </title>
