This song connects to my life because at one point I became really depressed and felt like no one loved me. I shut everyone out of my life and I started to fall into that negative side, it was ruining me. I started to cut and I was trapped in that state for at least 2 years. All of the color in my life were fading to gray and I didn't know what was healthy or harmful. This was one of the songs that made me feel safe and I listened to it whenever I had the urge to cut. It's a way the artists express themselves and turn it into a calming chill song. It connects to my life because it's a way to calm me down in any situation and makes me feel relaxed and safe. I got into it about June 2017 and I'm still listening to it. I connect with my friends through these songs and it's great for a kick back. I thought it connected to my life when I was in that state. During this time I was sort of the "outcast" in my class and was weird. This is my mom and my favorite song of Justin Timberlake and Michael Jackson. My mom is a HUGE inspiration to me and I'm lucky to have this connection with her in all areas. We can forget about all of the hardships in life and feel free and dance. I love my mom so much and would do anything for her, especially now in this really hard time in both of our lives.
