  • The word of God is the standard for truth because God is the ultimate author of the Bible, and He cannot make mistakes. It is said in 2 Timothy 3:16-17 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works."
  • It is important to know the truth so that we may not believe wrong things and be led to the wrong path.
