Students need to choose a topic that interests them and sustains them for months of artmaking.  Sometimes students choose an inquiry question and get bored after three pieces. Sometimes students are not personally connected to the inquiry question they chose.  Inquiry questions should be are both large and specific at the same time.  Remember that this is an ongoing process; sometimes, we start with an idea that isn’t quite clear. The inquiry question will become more defined as it evolves through each students’ creative process. They quite regularly do photo classes.  I don't see anything current on their page, but would be worth a call!  The darkroom photography class looks fantastic!!

Their cyanotype class in August looks fantastic!  I would personally love to take the Encaustic class too (you can include photos in this process).  These other mediums would be great for you to explore to flex your creativity, but also because in AP 2D you can work in any medium as long as it's flat!  Mixed media especially would be great to explore.

I highly recommend you get this specific sketchbook.  9 x 12 inch size, with this paper.  You can get it from Amazon here, OR from Michael's - use the app and there's always a coupon!! 
If you have a lot of room in this same sketchbook from Photo 2 that is fine! You can continue there. Some people like to start fresh in a new book - that works too!
