Big Universe is now K12 Library and has been revamped and it seems like it has some good tools for reading/ELA!

I was in the Empowering Young Readers and I thought there were so many valuable take aways! One of them being we need to take a closer look at using our K12 Library more! What a wealth of resources!

Handwriting and reading are reciprocal! When students write by hand, they train their brains to recognize words faster, making reading easier and improving comprehension. The act of writing reinforces spelling, letter patterns, and word recognition, which all boost literacy skills.

Just had the writing/science of reading training! They mentioned that research shows a direct link between handwriting / reading comprehension. I agree that it is really important to practice handwriting at an early age, not only so they can feel confident but it helps with letter recognition and decoding skills!
