She breaks the rule of having a romantic relationship within another partner. She stops at a inn in the night, and has a conversation with Norman Bates, A man who has taxidermy in his motel room. She also dies very early in the film.

Her role has inspired Final girl roles in horror films because she starts the model of how women in horror films can be more than a "damsel in distress" within horror movies.

1.) The background music of the film makes everything suspenseful. It makes the audience excited too see what happens next and the background talking while Marion Crane is driving makes it even more suspenseful adding as it sounds like arguing and yelling. It starts to rain while she drives, including the roads are wet, Marion's vision is impaired and all of this builds up suspense.

2.) When talking to Norman Bates, He talks about creepy stuff including his mom, and his taxidermy. Behind this there is suspenseful music, and The way Norman talks is as if he is passionate. His talking creates more suspense as he is talking forcefully.

3.)There is a power divide, within Norman and Marion. Norman knows the ins and outs of the motel versus Marion who just got there. Norman is able to watch her and find ways to sneak on her where as Marion doesn't know anything about the motel building.

4.) The setting in the film also contributiutes to the elements of Horror due to it being night. More crime happens at night and things tend to be More spooky. The house is old, and very haunted like.

5.) Death, is a big contribution to the horror aspect. It is the main idea of psycho and Norman kills, Marion Crane, then The PI as well while he is investigating.

1.) Why is Laurie Strode a Final Girl?

She is a Final Girl because throughout all the sequels of Halloween, she survives all. She seems "innocent and vulnerable" but evolves to become a capable survivor against Michel Myers.

2.) What rules did she break or follow?

The rules she breaks, is her not moving on. The aspect of a Final Girl usually contains of her being traumatized and moving on. Laurie doesn't do this. She continues to search for Michel Myers and spends over 40 years preparing for his return each Halloween.

3.)Why is she my favorite?

She is my Favorite because she shows that she is not afraid. She is a strong woman and throughout all the films she creates and aspect of fighting off males which gives a role model ability too show that girls can be heros and fight off too, not just males.

1.) One element of Horror is the music in the back. Every time Michel Myers arrives on scene, He seems to have his own background music. In which builds suspense and giving dread to what's coming next because people know he has a certain background music, Giving the audience a sense Michel is going to kill.

2.) Another element is the jump scares, This attributes because of the jump scares the audience gets a jump in their heart. Essentially this gives off a pure scare to the audience and jump scares are essential in all horror movies.

3.) Lastly, the setting and date. Showing that all the Movies are based on one night, Halloween in which is scary already itself, makes the movie even more scary. Michel only comes out to kill on Halloween, and mostly at night. These two settings play a big part of the Horror aspect creating a scary environment that builds up horror throughout the movie.
