overview
Ovarian cancer often goes undetected until it has spread within the pelvis and belly. At this late stage, ovarian cancer is more difficult to treat and can be fatal. It grows quickly and can progress from early stages to advanced within a year. With the most common form, malignant epithelial carcinoma, the cancer cells can grow out of control quickly and spread in weeks or months.

symptoms
Ovarian cancer often has no symptoms in the early stages. Later stages are associated with symptoms, but they can be non-specific, such as loss of appetite and weight loss.

treatments
Surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy are generally used to treat ovarian cancer.

Gardnerella vaginalis - Lakota Jarvis

Not having enough lactobacilli bacteria causes your vaginal PH to increase to 4.6 or more, so that your vagina isn't acidic enough. In this environment, Gardnerella starts to multiply, and other bacteria begin to cling to the Gardnerella bacteria and grow, too. When this happens, you get BV.

By collecting a urine sample your results will be available up to five working days from when we receive your sample. You can also test for Gardnerella amongst other STIs with a Platinum Screen or Comfort Screen.

Treatment can include prescription cream, gel, or medication. Recurrence within three to 12 months is common, requiring additional treatment.

Gardnerella is a genus of Gram-variable-staining facultative anaerobic bacteria of which Gardnerella vaginalis is the only species. The organisms are small non-spore-forming, nonmotile coccobacilli.

Gardnerella can be spread by sexual contact and is most frequently observed as occurring from women to men and from women to women. It has not been definitively established that men can transmit a Gardnerella infection to women. BV develops when the natural balance of bacteria in the vagina is disrupted.

To prevent Gardnerella ll you need to do is pay attention to vaginal hygiene, avoid douching, which can increase your risk of developing BV. wipe from front to back after peeing or a bowel movement. change liners, pads, or tampons often. avoid scented or deodorizing vaginal products, including sprays and wipes

Bacterial vaginosis is an infection of the vagina that may cause a fishy-smelling discharge. It's usually a mild problem that may go away on its own in a few days. But it can lead to more serious problems.

If Gardnerella is left untreated, there is an increased risk of getting other STIs, including HIV. A long term infection in pregnant women can cause premature rupture of membranes, preterm labour and delivery, along with a range of other potentially dangerous complications.

So in conclusion women get Gardnerella through sexual contact and infections of discharge and wiping back to front so to treat it they need to see a doctor because leaving it to go away on it's own could make it worse. Not having enough lactobacilli bacteria causes your vaginal PH to increase which can also cause infections specifically (BV).
