One of the moments that I found inspiring was when she became the first woman to win the Melbourne cup, she was the first woman to win after about 155 years of the cup existing, and she paved the way for other women to win. She inspired many women to also reach their goals and win races.

Another moment I found inspiring was when we found out that her sister had died from a fall, even though she knew how dangerous the horse riding is and that it had killed her sister, she still did horse riding and did not get scared from the danger and potential for her to die. Even when she came close to death from the same accident, she wasn't deterred from her passion.

I admire her for her hard work and determination, I hope that one day I will find something that I truly enjoy as much as she enjoys horse riding. At the moment I definitely could put that much effort into something but I just don't have passions as strong as Michelle Payne does.

I think it is important to tell the stories of people like Michelle Payne, because we need to show people that anyone can achieve something realistic, even if people tell them they can't. Many people would give up if they received so much hate for simply who they are. If you are physically and mentally healthy, and have enough willpower and drive, you should be able to achieve just as much or even more than anyone else can.

I do think that it will inspire women to participate in sports more, it has shown that women can be as good as men at sports, it's just the attitude and industry that has held them back for so long. I definitely can see a future in which women participate in sports more often and are in bigger and bigger competitions.

In conclusion, I think that Michelle Payne's amount of skill and effort that she puts in is incredible, it really goes to show that anyone can do anything.

An inspiring moment in the film 'Ride Like a Girl' is when she won the world cup whilst her family watched her. This was inspiring as she said when she was younger she would win a cup, it's also inspiring because of the journey that she went through on her way to win the cup. Her determination to win the cup is inspiring as she teaches the audience that you should never give up and that you will eventually succeed.

One of the many things that I admire about Michelle Payne is most importantly her determination as I aspire to be like her. Michelle Payne has a strong sense of persistence, bravery and independence. I admire that she achieved her dream which is something I would like to do in the future.

It is of significant importance to explain these stories to a younger audience as it would lead to a generation of children that want to succeed in life. Children that want to do what they want and not listen to what others have to say to them. This film also helps the older audience that even achieving the smallest dreams is still amazing to see. The film also demonstrates that normal/average people can do anything. This is also important for young females as it helps them understand that they can do anything they want to. It also helps the audience want to achieve that dream that they have and that if you have a dream similar to hers you can achieve that dream as well. It teaches the audience the importance of doing what you love and not caring about what other people may think of you. This is really important to know at a young age because doing what you love and being happy, is way more important than doing what you were told to do and not enjoying it.

I personally agree that this film can inspire young girls and women to participate in more sports that are male-dominated. All sports can be played by both males and females, so a story like Michelle's can help a younger audience be more enthusiastic and interested in sports. It also will help women and men understand the sexism involved into today's society.

Michelle was so determined to recover from her brain surgery and get back on her horse.
I found so many things inspiring about Michelle she was; resilient, brave, passionate, strong and most importantly determined. These qualities make her who she is, how she put herself and her passion first before the rest of the world.
It is important to share these stories with the world because we need more people like Michelle to show others to never give up.
Ride Like a Girl definitely inspires women to participate in sports and that they could achieve something great if they put their minds to it.

A moment that I found in the movie 'Ride Like a Girl' I found inspiring was how Michelle went off by herself to pursue her courier in horse racing as if she stayed with her family, she probably wouldn't get to have to opportunity to race in the Melbourne Cup. I admire her passion for horse racing as she was focused on becoming a horse jockey ever since she was little. This proved to be key in giving her the determination to continue with the sport so that she could be part of the Melbourne Cup. It is important to tell similar stories of people like Michelle Payne as it will give people of all ages to realize that they can still achieve big things no matter the situation and have the right to do so. I believe that 'Ride Like a Girl' will inspire both males and females to participate in activities that they enjoy instead of being restricted and influenced by others.

Liam S: A scene that I found inspiring was when Michelle took it into her own hands to keep horse riding when her father told her not to and to keep training. Despite being 'a female jockey' Michelle participated in events against male jockeys that belittled her, which actually ended up making her thrive for her success even more.

During her training Michelle visited a horse racing camp where she asked a member to let her ride whilst their, but instead he slandered her, resulting in her walking off in disgust. This potentially lead Michelle to become stronger mentally.

Seeing her father in hospital also might have made her come down on her self as it was a sad time for her, as well as seeing her sister pass away.

Events like these made her want to see success even more, wearing the necklace with the pendant of both Michelle's sister and mother as a sort of 'guidance' or 'luck'.

Michelle shows character development throughout the film, getting injured and recovering, showing persistence and taking initiative. These factors compliment the idea that in order to do something, your gender does not necessarily matter, but its your will, dedication and enjoyment of what you choose to do. I believe this was the reason Michelle wanted to keep pushing, despite being the only female in the race.

The film itself proves that not only women, but anyone can participate in sport whether it be serious or not, all people are allowed to make their own decisions despite their differences.

Dedication, Equality and Hardship as a theme make this film positively reflects how women can in fact participate in sport and achieve their goals with dedication and diligence.

What moments of ride like a girl did you find inspiring?

The moments in a ride like a girl that I found inspiring were the moments when she fell off her us and was unconscious. She found the gap in between the horse and she went for the win. Even if she knew that it would most likely cost her she still went for it. This shows her determination for the sport and that she wants to win. As soon as she got back home she started riding the horses in the paddock. She did this before she could even walk by herself. This shows her drive to push her body to the limits to do something that she loves. Another inspiring moment was when she had to lose 3kg in 2 days to compete in the horse race. She starved her body and put it under severe stress to lose that amount of weight. She was raping herself in glad wrap and going into saunas and working out to lose the most weight possible. This inspired me, because it showed her determination for the sport and that she was pushing herself to the limits to compete in the race.

What do you admire about Michelle Payne?
I admire her hard work ethic and the need to succeed. Without these traits she wouldn't have won the Melbourne cup, the need to win was also a skill that she drove across to prove males wrong about a female jockey.

Do you think Ride like a girl inspires girls and women to participate in sports?
Yes, I think ride like a girl inspires girls and women to participate in sports.

I found the moment when the horse came up to Michelle and asked her to come she stood up slowly using the help of the horse and hopped onto its back even though she was still recovering, while her dad was looking through the window disappointedly. I found this really inspiring especially because she is still not fully okay but wants to keep going in her passion.

I admire the way she encourages her brother that he can do just like she thinks she can win the race.

It is important to know the stories of people like Michelle Payne as many athletes or jockey face many injuries and challenges during their careers throughout what they like. Meanwhile, some people don't, but this does not only go towards sports people but can apply to anyone as you should stop something you love.

I think this film will inspire more girls to participate in sports as it shows that not just boys but also girls can win.

- The scene that I found really inspiring was at the end when Michelle's father was watching her taking the lead in the race and winning. This demonstrated how much her father's coaching and hard work paid off.

- Michelle Payne didn't let anything get anything on her way and showed no signs of doubt even after falling off the horse.

- It is very important to tell stories similar to this because it can have a positive impact on those who are in need and encouragement. They also deliver a great message like 'Ride like a Girl' of how your gender won't affect your achievement.

- It is a strong demonstration of breaking gender stereotypes as it shows how someone wins despite being a woman.

The most inspiring scene in Ride Like Girl was when she won the Melbourne. This scene proves that women can do it, as long as they put in the hard work, dedication and have the drive to win.
I admire Michelle for her commitment and devotion to her passions, and being willing to do whatever it takes, even putting her life on the line and endangering her health.
It's very important to tell stories like Michelle's because to some, it could mean a lot more to them than others. They may be able to relate and connect deeply, which could encourage them in ways that other's couldn't.
Ride like a Girl will inspire girls and women to play sports, however I really think it depends on the person, and their own strengths and abilities. They may feel intimated by Michelle's confidence, courage and commitment. They may believe she is the only type of woman that will make it, and therefore be discouraged to try.

The film ‘Ride like a Girl’ was a really inspiring movie that should be watched by everyone. This movie shows dedication and hard work and goes a long way, this was shown in many examples such as when her sister died or even when she had a brain injury while falling down riding a horse. This shows how much overcame all the setbacks and still ended up winning the Melbourne World Cup.

The most inspiring moment in this movie was when she won the Melbourne cup, with all the setbacks and also being the youngest in the family without any mother figure she still managed to overcome all of them and become the first female to win the cup. This is really inspiring as it shows anything is possible if you set your mind to it, it also shows to never give up no matter what and bravery is everything.

Michelle was incredibly determined and knew what she wanted, it is important to tell stories of people like Michelle because they can inspire people to do the same and try to achieve their goals. I think that Ride Like a Girl would help to inspire more girls and women to participate in types of sports that are more traditionally for men.
