Specifically, students who are taking the ELPAC and not the alternate ELPAC. We are being told that a student needs to get a 4 on the ELPAC to reclassify even if through the IEP process it is shown that the student's score is based on a disability and not language proficiency.


Additionally, we aren't using the alternate ELPAC for these students because we are being told that students who take the alternate ELPAC aren't eligible for the diploma track.


Could we get some clarification and some examples of how districts are reclassifying students? Is there language I can point to that explains this process?
