These go against the concept of democracy because the indigenous had all their rights taken away and were not allowed to speak up for what they thought was right, and were not allowed to vote. During the white settlement, the aboriginal people were treated poorly and the colonisers took authority over the land and the people. In the short film, this is shown by instead of having the aboriginal people exploited they swapped it so the aboriginal people are treated the white people like how they were in the past.
 
The way the indigenous people were treated goes against democracy. Democracy means giving everyone a voice and allowing people to give their opinions and concerns. The Aboriginal people had their rights taken away from them. Their land, families and cultural traditions were taken away and disrespected.
