            “Luv Is Rage 2” is a 16 song album made by rapper Lil Uzi Vert with special guests Pharrell Williams, The Weeknd, and Oh Wonder. The album is his first studio album to come out, although he has made many other songs and mixtapes over the past few years. “Luv Is Rage 2” is named after one of his older works, “Luv Is Rage,” which was released in 2015. This album has a different feel to it compared to many of his other works.

In the song, “The Way Life Goes,” he says, “just talk to your homies she said we should be together.” Also in the same song, he says, “but I like that girl too much, I wish I never met her.” He is obviously trying to use the song to send a message to Brittany and tell her how he feels now. This could be interpreted as a use of transmission that is discussed in Chapter 4 of the book “Every Song Ever.” In that chapter, it talks about how emotion can be expressed through music and that is what Lil Uzi Vert is doing in this song.

He does have some songs on it that shows that he is still having fun. In the song, “Sauce It Up,” he is showing that he is still doing what he does best and that he is still going to have fun. The song shows that although he just went through a break up with someone he has been with for years, he is still going to be himself. If Ben Ratliff of the book, “Every Song Ever” was to hear the song, he might include it as a part of chapter in his book: loudness. Lil Uzi Vert calls himself a rockstar sometimes and this song can help show that.

If he does have a heart, it may soon be blackened.
