I live in Ocaña in a small house of a single floor made of blocks, and live here with my mother and my 3 little brothers, where we are part of a reduced community in a small town where agriculture is worked.

 

My routine is always the same, I get up at 6 am, get some things ready to go work, have breakfast at 7 am, for example today we ate arepa with egg and then I walk to work. Work from 7:30 am-7 pm where I go home for launch at 1 pm and I come back to work, leave for my house at 7 pm and I have dinner at 8 pm, go to study a little an go to bed at 11:30 pm. I don’t go out on weekends and always work, in weekends work in a cars wash, so I usually don’t do anything.

The main touristic places in ocaña are the agua de la Virgen, park central, Anton Garcia Bonilla Museum, the Historical Complex of the Great Convention (which we call San Francisco Park), Santa Ana Cathedral, Monument to Christ the King, etc.

- What is the typical food in your city? The typical food in my city is Arepa. 

- What are the main ingredients of the typical food? arepa is prepared with flour and there are accompanied with cheese, avocado, salad, butter, egg, or parakeet.

- What are the main celebrations in your city/town? The main celebrations in my city are the carnivals of January, the parade of old cars, the procession of Easter, the fair of kites in August, Christmas, among others.

- What do people do in those celebrations? People usually They live with their family, go out drinking, and participate in evets, Etc.

- What activities can visitors do in your city or town? In my city visitors can Visit the monument to the slaves, go to the water of the virgin, which is a busy mountain, eat an ocañero bread in a good bakery, try the bolegancho, eat all kinds of arepas, visit restaurants, parks, museums.
