Padlet #1: Introduction

Music can be defined as many patterns, rhythms, tempos, and styles coming together to create one unified sound. My favorite genres of music would be rap and theatrical music (broadway). I enjoy broadway music mainly for how creative they can become. I listen to music whenever I am doing homework, am out with friends, or when I am at the gym. Music allows me to go to different time periods in my mind. It allows me to relax and think clearly. Music can bring a group of people together regardless if they are strangers to each other or not. This padlet will contain music I am enjoying in the moment, encounters with music, and stuff of that nature.

One of my first experiences with music was my first choir. It was when I lived in New Jersey. I sang with the Bergenfield High School choir for 2 years. At times not everyone in our group would see eye-to-eye but we always came together when it was important. We all had a strong love for music and the program that we were in. It was my first time seeing how powerful music is and how it can unify a group

This was my second choir. This is the Birdville High School choir. It was a completely different experience for me in terms of the kind of people I was working with. The one thing that did not change was everyone's love for music and performing.

What was really interesting about this video was how it started. You can't see it but it really started off with one person dancing. Then someone else joined and so on and so forth. It kept going until there was this large group in the middle of the field doing the same dance.

Most people know the original song from Outkast. This is a cover done by a modern artist called Kamau. I really enjoy this piece because of how beautifully the voices come together in the chorus.
