1) In the political structure imposed by Spain, most of the people the monarchy chose to occupy important positions were people born in Spain. This angered the Europeans born in Latin America. This rivalry, along with the ideas of the American and French revolutions with the prohibition on trade with other nations and foreign colonies, helped fueled the fire of the Europeans born in Latin America, desire for social change.

2) Then in 1806, a British fleet attacked and captured Buenos Aires. The Spanish viceroy, a peninsular named "Rafael de Sobremonte" then fled the city with the public treasury during the battle. Then following a 1778 law stating that treasuries must be kept safe and viceroys must avoid capture during an invasion so they cannot be forced to sign an official surrender.

3) A Junta was elected, which deposed the viceroy and declared itself in authority, on 9 July 1816.

Phase Three

1) The Radicals scared to take over in 1810. Then in 1812 the old government gave up and let the revolutionaries control the country.

2) The civil war was going from 1810 to 1818, Argentine revolutionary army were led by Manuel Belgrano, Juan Jose castelli, and Jose de San Martin, again the army of Argentina still loyal to the Spanish crown.

3) When the powers of the Spanish were increased, the general Manuel Belgrano told Liners to fight the appointment to put Baltasar Hidalgo de Cisneros as the new Plata, Liners decided to decline, to not start any resistance.

1) The May revolution started after the dissolvement of Junta of Seville moving to Cadiz, the news of this spread to Buenos Aires on May 18.

2) When the independent government of Argentina was born, it formed the first assembly, which started the role of the first counsel, and for them to rule the Spanish Monarchs administrative institution of the overseas territories, for The Spanish king Fredinand VII.

3) Spain is now never going to control the region because of this change. This day is now celebrated on May 25 as a public holiday that also honors the first national government, and the change created to make it happen.
