When the alga die the dead organic matter accumulates in the water. Which makes it hard for the water to be usable . Polluted water affects other organisms living in the water as well. Another example, is over-fishing. I Over-fishing and pollution have threatened the ocean in many ways causing it to be a ecological disaster.
