  • A lot of the marriages are arranged marriage the family has already agreed to the marriage but when the couple do get in engaged by love they have to let the grooms parents meet the bride parents to see if they approve of this unity. 
  • Before the wedding night, the bride and groom got to the groom house groom close family house 
  • Groom church is usually where the ceremony takes place 
  • Before the church, they have a band they walk through the streets to the church by walking or car the band behind them 
  • 3 weeks before the marriage they every Sunday and if anyone think that they need to stop the marriage come forward and if the priest agrees then the wedding won't happen 
  • The bride and groom walk in into the church with the priest

    They cheer the bride and the groom they drink some wine 
    Some traditional dancing depends on the couple and the family if they want to dance or not 
    They call it “first night” of the wedding the husband and wife sex Fruits and they 3 times feed them or treat them 

  • The bride parents will take the couple to the wife's house in 3days the husband  family will pick them but usually, they all live in a joint family

    The groom's  parents go over to talk to the bride's parents and they ask for the bride's hand in marriage for the son 

     so that boyfriend asked for the girlfriend's hand and they become fiance's and then they have the time where they make a dinner and the whole family can join and it's pretty much the groom's parents going over and talking to the bride's parents to make sure this is okay with this is what is okay this is approved. That's where the boyfriend gives the girlfriend the ring 

    During prep, they ask for sponsors for gold coins, the rope, bible, band 

    Preparation for the wedding 

    Marry by the government before marrying in a church because of the country 

    Fiances cant live together till after marriage 

    Aras the gold coins the groom gives it to the bride saying that this is to show that nothing will be missing from your life.

    So before they dance they call the sponsors then the sponsor make circle and dance around the bride and groom 

    All pairs dance tother then the whole party dances 

    Cut the cake then the wife has liga the groom takes the liga with the mouth the teeth or the hand 

    Then they toss the liga to all the single men 

    Then the bride tosses the flowers to the single ladies and then the man  that catches the liga and the woman that catches the flowers dance together 

    The dollars dance the money they make from the dance is for the honeymoon 

    Brendes to ask all the friends to cheer for the couple cross the hands the first cheers as husband and wife.
