The videos were easy to understand which was nice.

I Chose The Wizard of Oz, because it is a story I am familiar with, but have never read, so I am curious as to how the story really plays out. I was also considering reading the children's blizzard for my South Dakota book but decided against it after reading the first few pages of it. I expect the book to be slightly different than what I am expecting and to be different than most other books. I think it will be about a girl named Dorothy trying to get to the Wizard of Oz and finding friends along the way. It is not part of a series and I predict the plot will be the same as what the book is about. I think it will be relatively easy to read and it is definitely not what I would typically read.

Prereading padlet post on Treasure Island April 29

I chose treasure island because it sounds cool and because I think it is about some kid surviving on an island which also sounds cool and it's a good length. I expect the book to be somewhat easy to read and it to explain how to survive and find buried treasure. I think the book will be about a kid looking for treasure on a deserted island. Treasure Island is not part of a series, but there is a movie. My prediction of the plot is that a kid will find a map, follow it to an island, find pirates, and find the treasure. I think it will be moderately easy to read with a few older challenging words. Treasure Island is a type of book that I would usually read because it sounds cool.

Prereading pallet post on The Call of the Wild May 10

I chose call of the wild because it is an interesting classic book that remember liking when I read it a few years ago. I wasn't considering reading any other book instead of this one because I thought of it before any others. I expect the book to be full of action and adventure along with sadness and grief. I think it will be about a dog that goes through lots of troubles in its life, but feels the call of the wild and eventually answers it. It is not part of a series. I predict that its plot will be about the life, love, death, and freedom of a dog. I think it will be quite easy to read. It is a type of book that I would typically read because it is about wolves and adventure which I both like.
