My main passion is for weightlifting/powerlifting.

An idea that would help my hobby and maybe other also would be a quick way of tracking and calculating the correct weights to lift for continuous and injury free progress. I have currently made an excel spreadsheet that calculates my training weights based off 70% or 60% of my best lift. This is the safe zone for lifting repeatedly safely. This spreadsheet then calculates an additional 2.5% to add after each training session to ensure that progress is being made. Once the lifter begins to struggle to complete a set or lifts (for example 8 repetitions) the spreadsheet will reduce it by 2.5%.

This is a quick and easy way to track your progress and remove any confusion to what your normal (working) sets should be. Perhaps a device secured to the lifter such as a smart watch could track their movement to count their repetitions and automatically update the program, making this even easier. A camera could watch the lifter and count their lifts or assess the quality of their lifts by using machine/AI learning.

I do not know of a program currently available that offers this service for weightlifters. I have been using this excel spreadsheet for a while and I have had great success with it. I've attached a picture of the excel spreadsheet.
