I think the Dorito's commercials have always been the best for SuperBowl ads. The strategy they always use is something comedic and kind of quirky so that it sticks in people's minds. They always use something that seems like everyone wants Dorito's (even if they're in the womb in this case). This one is my favorite just because I remember it and thought it was funny.

This is an ad for THEO Blue, an investment and stock portfolio app. I think it definitely appeals to the audience because this a very popular type of video in the current trend of video compilations. I have watched this type of video often and when I first started watching this video, I didn't even know it was an ad! It is rather distracting from the message but I think the main distraction is that there is not a lot of English in it. I, however, do not think that makes it ineffective, it just means they are going directly for their target audience of people in Japan.

I believe this ad shows a dual channel marketing system where a consumer may go to the original companies site or they can go to this compiling website of all the trips they could take. I picked this one out of the many sites that do this because it stuck out to me the most with it's use of the word "booking" as a swear word and their catch phrase of "booking.yeah"

This Super Bowl Ad for Doritos AND Mountain Dew was really cool to me because I don't often think of a double-ad. It stuck out to me because I always think of Doritos ads as using normal people, but this time they used really popular celebrities. They also used a character from Game of Thrones and the video slightly reflects "A Song of Fire and Ice". I think this a big change in Doritos' positioning strategy, because usually they go for the average Joe, but now they're going for a more aspirational, big-budget type of ad.

I think this is a good advertisement because without the audio you can feel a sort of coming-of-age vibe coming off of each of the elements. It appealed to me the most because I love a good coming-of-age story and the filmography was beautiful. Also, I thought it was ironic with the recent downfall they have been having with certain scandals. I also thought it would be interesting because they are known for having the worst retail ratings and I wanted to see how they advertise to try to stay in business.

I think this is my favorite magazine ad of all time. It combines technology with the print to bring it up to date. It also was politically charged and kind of helped to see what was really happening in parts of the world that are helpful to learn about. I think it's a very good use of the QR technology and a very creative way to keep magazines alive.

I received an ad in the newspaper for an oil change and inspection from this car shop called Advanced Auto Repair. It was very effective because it was a reminder to get my oil changed again and it happened to be that my inspection was out. I was so thankful to them that I think I'm going to keep using them as the main place I take my car. (I don't have a picture of it because they kept the coupon).

I have always liked viral marketing for horror movies. They're very well done for thrill seekers to see other people's reactions without giving away the scary parts of the movie. They can offer incentive for those guinea pigs willing to test it and it creates a marketing technique that's sort of "see-it-to-believe-it" which I find fascinating.

Also on the theme of horror movies, the first horror movie "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari" is one of the strangest examples I can think of guerilla marketing. They put up a quote from the end of the movie where you realize he's gone insane around in real life. It was a strange phrase that was memorable if you saw it and therefor made the viewer feel as though they were going crazy along with Dr. Caligari himself.

I received an ad from Domino's on Friday the 13th, I think it is interesting and usually they do well to give me ample reminder of how yummy and bad for me pizza is. However, I feel like they're strategy is lacking a bit in that I don''t see much point in ordering a pizza BECAUSE it is Friday the 13th, unless they're trying to encourage you to stay in and watch scary movies. I feel like it could've been reinforced better in the ad itself why they thought I should buy pizza because it was Friday the 13th.

I think this a fantastic deal, and I'm not sure how they keep this promotion going but I assume it's because most people probably don't sign up online and get the free birthday pass. I bet most people who wish to go for their birthday just end up going and buying two regular tickets.

Bud Light is the official sponsor of the Superbowl and has been for so long. They put billions of dollars into maintaining that threshold and share in profits with the Superbowl as all the millions of people who watch the game, watch ads designed to play on their thirst and desire to drink beer. This sponsorship is probably the most dominant example of sponsorship among beer brewers and is unlikely to change anytime soon, as it has become sort of like a "Coke-Classic" in the eyes of Americans watching football.
