I’m sure this comes as no surprise, but I think that any further budget cuts in education is ridiculous. At K-State we are feeling these all around, and this is just at the state level. Budget cuts at the national level in our K-12 schools will strip our education system, a system that is already suffering. Our teachers are paid nothing, but expected to do everything, so they and the students suffer. I cannot stress enough how important I think it is to keep adequate funding in education.

I think that this would be down right ridiculous to cut because schools are already struggling to make ends meet. Cutting the budgets even further also isn't going to help the students who are already struggling just going to make them further behind.

I find it so irritating that they would cut the forgiveness plan for public servants (I.e doctors, teachers, lawyers. Especially when teachers don't even get payed nearly as much as the other two tonpau off their loans as quickly.

I believe that this is crazy that they would want to cut the education budget by $9.2 BILLION. That is despicable, the children are our future and I believe that education needs to be funded. Teachers now already pay for a lot of their own classroom supplies and cutting the budget would cut the activities that teachers can do with their students.

There are a lot of things covered in this article that both make sense and don't make sense to me. Obviously, budget cuts in education are really frustrating. American teachers are already extremely underpaid and schools struggle with creating adequate programs with limited budget. However, there are a few aspects of this plan that I think are beneficial. For example, the public school system is a flawed organization. Many schools in low-income areas are a disaster, and struggle to keep good teachers because of other restraints put on them completely independent of budget. The voucher program is good for those parents who are proactive enough to give their child a chance to get a better education in a private or charter school, because their child's education is their choice.
