It is important to not use metaphors or sarcasm because they will take things literal. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Use positive reinforcement: Positive reinforcement can encourage effective communication(<em>Communication Strategies for Parents of Children with Autism</em>, 2024). </p><p><br/></p><p>When using positive reinforcement, you should provide immediate positive feedback so the students understand their efforts are appreciated. Students with Autism will want to continue making positive growth in communicating when they get positive reinforcements. This can be as simple as a hug, verbal praise, or tangible items of reinforcement. </p>]]></description>
