I did the assessment and got it marked by Laurie via Moodle and I am now uploading my feedback onto padlet.

This is the video of my first study instrument assessment 3

My friend recorded me performing my chosen song then sent me the video, which I have attached here.

I wrote it in a word document then (after this was passed) I attached that document onto my padlet.

This is my bands (RED VELVET) music box session done in preparation for our gig in May.

Scott Hannah recorded our music box session then uploaded it onto the 'out the box fest' promotion website (which I have attached the link to above).

I created my work in Logic Pro, then bounced the file and turned it into an MP3, which I then added onto my padlet.

I wrote and record my song, got it marked (and PASSED) then uploaded the MP3 of my song onto my padlet.

For example at 1:52 Me and Matty lock eyes and smile in order to reassure one another that the performance is going well!

These are both important skills to have as if I weren't able to perform with other musicians or work to suit other peoples needs, I wouldn't be able to get hired for any kinds of jobs (specifically a community performer role) that requires working with (or for) other people.

This is a necessary skill for the role of a community performer as I will need to be able to quickly pick up information like lyrics and melodies in order to fully perform a song even if I just started learning it a few days before hand.

Being able to do these things means I am able to perform a song with emotion AND skill in order to keep the audience interested no matter their age, gender, job etc.

I really wanted to achieve these skills for this performance as I chose this song to not only perform for my assessment but also for international women's day as I really wanted people to pay attention to the problems with gender inequality going on in the world today.

Having these skills is a necessity for a community performer because, without them no one would want to hire me/ watch me perform.

It also showcases my kindness and care towards society as I chose this song for a specific and special reason.

Knowing this information will help me perform/write a song to the best of my ability.

This skill will also help me experiment with different genres of music as I will know more about them once studying a specific song from that genre. This means my performances will never become bland/ one note.

These skills are handy as i know that some venues do not have a lot of technical gear which means I may be required to perform with just a piano (or a guitar) instead of a backing track or a band.

Being able to play these instruments means I will be able to play all different kinds of venues!

Both of these skills are very useful in the performance world as I will be required to both perform with other people and know a little bit about the tech/studio world so that I can provide my own backing tracks and produce my own music etc.

This is a very useful skill as I know I will be required to produce my own backing tracks for songs that either don't have an existing backing track or that I have written myself and wish to perform to a crowd.

This Jingle is also further proof of my advertisement skills as it's an AD I created for a RADIO station.

For example, using a refrain and knowing what it is. This refrain being the sentence "is it still love when you loved her first".

This means that I can do more than just covers when it comes to performing, which is good as people may get bored of hearing the same set list that includes too many well known songs over and over.

This also means people will be curious about my stuff if I perform/release my own music which means I could produce income from my social media presence as well my job as a community performer.

The screenshots are from the band group chat we personally created that showcase the final set list being sent in after a rehearsal and discussions about what songs we want to focus on for our 2nd live performance specifically.

These notes help showcase my dedication and ability to focus on, and learn from, other people.

There's also a context section at the bottom of page 3 showcasing my ability to set a scene for a song/performance.

If I didn't have these skills my performances would not be as engaging and exciting for the audience.

This showcases my ability to pin point vocal techniques quickly and then be able to expand my knowledge on them.

For example, Dolly uses global onsets whilst singing this song, specifically during the chorus because she wants her voice to sound stern since she is talking about her views on the working world.

This is a skill that is very useful when it comes to performing for a living.

This showcases my ability to take on constructive criticism and apply feedback from my viewers/audience.

With only posting a few bits and pieces so far I have already managed to gain us almost 50 followers and make the ticket link even more accessible for people (as I attached it in our bio).

This account showcases my ability to self advertise, which is a useful skill to have as I will be required to promote my own performances in order to get hired for more jobs.

This shows my organisation skills as I researched what I needed to do then worked my way through this brief and checked each thing off once I had completed it.

Organisation is a necessary skill as being a community performer would require me to create set lists, learn songs, book gigs etc.

This shows how much my song progressed as I worked on it over time, therefore showcasing my commitment and dedication to my art.

If I weren't to have these skills I would be a mediocre performer who lacked enthusiasm and that would mean I would not be hired often enough to make an income.

This also shows that I have gigged before and have been doing so for quite a while so I am an experienced performer and ready to take on the role of a community performer.

This showcases my professionalism and ability to realise music without needing a studio or tech person.

These things have been very useful for me to know so that all my work is legitimate!
