This new music grew out of traditional blues, country, and pop tunes, and instead incorporated heavy rhythm, and simple melodies and lyrics. Elvis Presely was the king of Rock N' Roll and was know for his dangerous and sexy dance moves.</div>]]></description>

Buying consumer products became equated with success, and everyone wanted to purchase these material goods. One new product after another appeared in the market place as various industries responded to the new consumer demand. Products, such as the oven, fridge, and washing machine as shown on the mural were a few of the many products sold to consumers.</div>]]></description>

This law wanted to reward practically all wartime veterans, and as shown on the mural, one of these benefits were cash payments of tuition and living expenses to attend high school and college.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

Women now supported their families and made important decisions in the household, as they were in the work force and got paid. More than one million war marriages had ended in divorce, as women became more independent. Women were not happy in their typical roles, as shown in the pictures, soley working in the household for they were feeling isolated and unfulfilled.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In the 1950's it became the American dream to live in suburban houses, away from the crowded and polluted city.&nbsp;This suburban living made owning a car a necessity. Rural areas didn't offer public transportation, so it forced people to drive to their jobs in the city every day. Because of this automata was created, and it led to the creation of new expressways and to construct roads that linked everything together. The access to cars helped in the development of new suburbs farther from the city. The pictures shown are examples of popular cars that were driven in the 1950's. </div>]]></description>

Car accidents became more frequent and car traffic caused people to have higher stress. The economic gulf between suburbs and urban dwellers (poor and rich) widened. </div>]]></description>
