I think that's something a lot of us faced during remote instruction. It was extremely frustrating at times, but I remind myself that often that's how our students feel when they are learning something new. Even though I am a library media specialist, I find that there are emerging digital programs and resources all the time.

Usually I don't willingly seek out professional development, however, this course intrigued me (and the stipend motivated me to sign up!) I already see value in how this course is organized, giving me ideas for how to better organize my own Google Classroom. I hope to leave with some affirmation that I have some good teaching practices already but also some inspiration to improve. I also hope to have some practices to share out with my department (math) because professional development not only makes us better, but it can make our colleagues better too when we share and reflect on what we have learned.

My goals are to implement what I learn from this course into my classroom. I already have the idea of changing my students' gratitude journal- we start each class recording something we are grateful for that day- but adding a line where they can end class with a "celebration" of their work, as it suggested in the Module 1 reading. I also am inspired to collect daily (or weekly) exit tickets so that students have a private space to communicate how things are going. I had this private space during remote learning but since being back in the classroom, I have not had this.     • What I would like for this course to do for me is that I am able to reflect on my experience of remote learning and figure out what was good about it.  I feel like my school just wants me to move on very quickly.  I had a few frustrating classes last year that left me with a bad feeling about remote learning.  However, it really wasn't all bad.  I need to remember what I learned and what was good about it and what I want to keep without throwing out the whole experience.
