The sunlight filtered through the leaves, making a spectacle of colored lights around the park bench where Mr. Jones was feeding, as usual, pigeons, ducks, squirrels and any other animal that would like to share some food. That morning he noticed that a new partner had joined the feast. A red beak black swan wandered shily at a distance. Mr. Jones, staring at it, launched hard bread crumbs towards its area. The incredible thing was that the swan seemed to thank him through a series of bows of its slender, thin neck.

Image: Sitting the later days, by Seika Natsuki. CC BY.

Denise. 6º.

Immediately, that rare swan began to speak and said, "Thanks for giving me bread to eat." Mr. Jones was surprised when the swan replied. He was so frightened that he went back home thinking that, what he had seen, was a product of his imagination. Following his routine, he returned to the park the next day and with his eyes sought that black swan of his imagination.
Image: Red Nose, by Mario Dias. CC BY.

Lois. 6º.

What a surprise! the swan went out of the bushes waving its wings. Mr. Jones said hello and the Swan replied, "Finally I can talk to a human being." From that day on, they were friends forever. They shared nice moments and they enjoyed watching the sunset together. "How beautiful is this sunset!," said the Swan.

Sandra. 6º.

Mr. Jones replied: "Yes, it's super cool". " Let's take a walk in the park." said the swan. While they wandered, the swan was singing a song, Mr. Jones said, "That song is very nice." The next day the swan invited Mr. Jones to meet his new friend. "What's his name?" he asked, "Parakeet" replied the swan, "He is my family". Then, they walked through the park by the river and laid down to sunbathe.

Javier. 6º.

- Hi!, I am Parakeet and you?.
- My name is Mr. Jones, nice to meet you.
- Would you like an ice-cream?, said Mr. Jones.
- Okay.
They went to the ice-cream shop and chose the flavors they liked best. Mr. Jones walked the swan and the parakeet on leads. People laughed at him for taking those pets so weird.

Image: Giggles, by Zach Aysan. CC BY.
