There are many things that people can do. For example if you are the parent then you can help the child explore the things that they like, this will help them build there self esteem. You should also help your kid interact with other kids. You also have to be patient and work with them even if its frustrating. the most important thing that you can do is to be there for them and help them.

Helpful treatments for dyslexic children?

There is no "cure" for dyslexia but, there are ways to help treat it. The best treatment is to find a dyslexic tutor. There are many methods of tutoring. With this the child would get the attention they need. There are also online classes that provide online dyslexia tutoring. Unfortunately there are no quick fixes for dyslexia. But, one on one tutoring with a professional dyslexia tutor is the most effective treatment.

Being a kid who has dyslexia is very hard. the kid may feel different and out of place. They understand that something is different and they might feel confused on why they are the only ones who don't understand what they are learning in school. They have a hard time in school because they learn a different way because it takes them longer. The kids usually get extra help so that they can keep up with the other kids. Children usually feel good about them selfs when they are in classes with a more creative base like art and cooking. But, some kids feel embarrassed.

I learned a lot about this project. Dyslexia is a problem that is not avoidable. This means that it is in your family so, you can't do anything to prevent it. This is a hard problem to deal with. The family and especially the child has to work really hard to overcome this problem. There is so much you have to do to get through this. You have to go through to process to get diagnosed. You have to work your hardest in tutoring and give it your all. And you especially can not get through this without support and people helping you along the way to help treat the problem. This can drain you emotionally.

I found a lot of things to be interesting. Before starting this project I thought that dyslexia wasn't a big problem. I thought that it was very rare and that it was not a hard thing to overcome. However I did know that it was a long journey to recovery and that it took a long time to fix the problem. In this project I found it to be very interesting when I found out that this problem takes a lot of family support, I didn't know that the parents had to be patient and help their kid all day, every day. I thought that it was interesting that every 1 in 5 people have dyslexia, this means that it is a lot more common then I thought. I realized that everyone is different when dealing with this. This could mean that for some it is a lot harder than others. I really liked learning more about this topic because it informed me of a problem that I did not know a lot about.
