“One day the track coach,who was very strict by the way,pointed to four boys,including me,and said we were going to cross-country.I protested that I was too weak and not in shape to run,but the trainer sent me for a check-up and the doctor said I was perfectly healthy.And so I had to race.I felt like I wanted to win when I got going,but I ended up second. And that's how it all started," Zátopek later recalled how he finished second in the Zlín race in 1941.From that moment he became seriously interested in running. The powerful athletes of Bať's club took care of the new talent. In Zlín, he started training in the company of then elite Czech runners, such as Tomáš Šalé and Jan Haluza. It was Jan Haluza who became his first (unofficial) coach for two years.They also completed a number of races together.

Yes or no ?
I personally think that it is not necessary to deal with sports and Olympic history in schools without a sports orientation.

why?
Maybe it is good to know, for example, who was Emil Zátopek. And to have a conversation with an athlete once a year. At our school, there aren't many talks focused on sports.

How?
it's great to have discussions and workshops at school, you don't have to learn and just listen to someone describe the topics. But I haven't experienced any discussion or workshop yet. Surely they could present, play videos or do worksheets.
