To develop my progress towards being a performing original artist I plan to:

1. Form a band and have at least one rehearsal before the end of the semester, in order to increase my collaboration skills and network.

2. Personal practice:

   I practiced Drumming & Vocal skill in order to enhance my track and progress within my technical ability development and so that I can further understand different areas of musicianship in my original band, write parts better, be a multi-instrumentalist.

   
   

3. Made a one sheet for myself as a performer and creative artist to market my ability effectively to potential opportunities and further my brand.

I tasked myself with at the very least participating in an open mic night, although I did find luck after meeting a bassist in the Strategy class, and I already knew a drummer who I thought may be into the alternative, faster stuff and it turned out he was so I booked in a session for a few weeks time when both of them were available and we had a brief session.

I had very limited experience with jamming in a rehearsal environment meaning large cabs, speakers and it was a slight learning curb while trying to express my best ability.

They seemed positive about our session as we melded well together, and talked about getting drinks sometime and doing another session in the summer.

Potentially this is positive although I can't be sure but never the less I will continue my progression with my vocals, drumming and guitar and at the least this has been a positive learning experience.

My anxiety levels were very high although as I was anticipating this session for a while I think I managed to hide it well. I didn't achieve my goal, but achieved better in rehearsing with a band over participating in a solo open mic which for me allowed me to gain valuable knowledge of working within a band. I intend on focusing on closure within my projects within uni and outside of uni, which will get my stress levels in a much better state and allow me to better understand how to approach dealing with my anxiety.

I will plan to participate in a open mic night in the not too distant future.

I worked on my improvement in these areas along with a drum teacher twice a month, booking 4 drum rehearsal slots per month which I have to do get for practice as I don't have my own kit in Brighton.

My overall adaptation to playing the song, progressed smoothly i did however adjust playing the ride from 8ths to 4s at 99bpm to meet my current playing ability.

On the 7th bar I also adapted playing the open hi-hat and snare to playing flams in effort to improve my ease of drumming flow.

I had difficulty booking the WaterBear drum den due to my availability/the availability of the drum den. To adjust I booked Small Pond rehearsal studios through WaterBear when I could find availability and when I couldn't I would pay for a rehearsal room.

I made it visually appealing while also containing all necessary info about me.

I need more links and more attributes such as notable successes that associate with the specific career that I am marketing.

I intend on widening my approach to opportunity to achieve this especially within the performing opportunities.

I made sure I attended almost all sessions and contributed my ideas while listening to other ideas in a fair and equal manner.

Forming a close working relationship with the zine team showed me that I was capable.

Exchanging emails and editing my piece correspondingly in accordance with what either needed to be done or potentially could be changed allowed me to understand a healthy work production and gain closure from a finished and complete project which I have had multiple compliments about.

My interviewee is utilising the photos I took in his marketing and the zine itself markets his brand.

I expressed more leaning on the photography side, but want to get involved with writing some areas potentially.
