1. Are your thoughts about using online tools for writing mostly positive or negative , and why?
Using online tools for writing is very effective and positive for both students and teachers.
These tools “encourage greater collaboration among students” because digital technologies “encourage student creativity and personal expression''.
2.What is the most important idea/ approach you have thought about today related to writing?
In my idea, process is the most important approach because process approach focuses on more varied classroom activities such as brainstorming, group discussion, re-writing.
3.What do you think your colleagues would be most interested in exploring in a PLC meeting focussing on writing?
In fact ,the approach that you decide to use will depend on you, the teacher, and on the students. However ,I think my colleagues would be most interested in process writing as it is more collabrative and it emphasis on creative process.

1) What is the value of coursebook listening activities?

The value of coursebook listening activities is very important because the students are familiar with topics in the coursebook. Also in coursebook listening activities there are listening tasks such as pre-while- post listening activities.By the help of these activities both the teacher and the students know what they will do or how will do the activitiy more easily. Shortly the coursebook activities show the way and facilitate your duty.

2)What is the value of authentic listening materials?

Authentic materials provide real-life examples of language used in everyday situations.Authentic listening materials reflect the changes in language and other attribute of the social world and the students can be aware of what is happening in the real world. They provide a realistic context for tasks that relate to learner's needs. But sometimes it has disadvantages such as unavailability of the materials, increased learning burden, difficulty of language...

3) How can you develop more active listening skills in your classes?

Firstly I should get to know my students, find out about their interests, hobbies, music and sport, families etc. The students will listen more to teachers they feel are interested in them and know them.
I can use reflective listening activities.
By listening well to my students, modelling it for them, and making them aware of what I am doing make my students feel safe. Then they can practice listening with each other easily. The activities should be appropriate for all the students in the class and the listening activities should be encouraging.

1)What is one difficulty when you are doing a listening or speaking session that you would like to explore with your colleagues in the PLC?

I think lack of motivation is one difficulty because we achieve more when they want. Honestly if there is no motivation , learning, teaching also sharing is too difficult. Firstly we should make them feel better and try to get them involved.

2) Give examples of major challenges your
learners/other colleagues face related to listening or speaking.

Difficulty remembering what they listened to.

Understanding the speaker's accent or rate of speed.

Limited listener vocabulary.

Grammar and vocabulary.

The characteristics of the students

Limited time

All these challenges related to each other and as teachers working at secondary schools have experienced them. For instance some of my students have difficulty in understanding the speech because of the accent and speed of the speaker. When they feel that it is too fast to understand for them they lose their motivation and self confidence.

3) What is the most useful idea or suggestion you have taken away from Listening and Speaking sessions?

All the ideas and suggestions are important and effective for me but correction techniques is the most useful one .After that session I have learnt how I can use my hands and fingers to correct the mistakes done by my students. It is very enjoyable and it will provide permanent learning and I am sure that my students and colleagues will find it interesting. Using your body is sometimes more effective from other techniques.

1) Imperative= vital The key principle of Flipped Learning is that the students do the input part of the lesson at home , it is therefore imperative that they actually do this.I mean that reponsibility transfers to the learners.

time saving = in Flipped learning I can use the advantage of technology and let my students use their own time and technology for lesson input. This means I can use time more effectively for encouraging and reinforcing learning.

autonomous = having the freedom to govern itself or control its own affairs. In Flipped Learning the students have an oppurtunity to understand and show their capacity and also willingness of learning. They have self-controlling not governed by outside forces.

2) I am not sure but I can sometimes have a few problems because of my students'and parents' lack of responsibility. If I feel some of my students are not responsible or autonomous enough it can be a concern for me as I care about the participation of my students.

3) I think my colleagues will like flipped learning because it will give them the opportunity to do more meaningful and creative activity inside the classroom where they can give the students the chance to practice and develop their linguistic abilities. They will leave the hard part of language learning to be done at home and it will make them use of modern day technology and encourage autonomous learning.

Then they can categorize the adjectives into two groups ( appearance &personality). The stronger ss try to describe someone they know or they like by using the adjectives the weaker ss have categorized. So all the students have chance to speak English even a word by the help of differentiated task.

2) In the second activity the weaker ss ask 'short answer questions' (Are you punctual?) and write the name of their friend in the chart. Then the stronger ss make sentences using the adjective in the chart and explain the reason.
For instance ; ''Ali is punctual because he comes to school on time''

Focus on small changes , small changes can make the task more enjoyable.Differentiated task allow my students to actively practice what they have learnt not only the stronger ones but also the weaker ones. I believe that my primary role as a teacher is to design and facilitate.

1) I think my colleagues in my area use implicit methods because we all generally have learnt English with explicit grammar and as teachers we don't want to teach subject+verb+object. We have chance to change the traditional one.
I prefer language use to language usage and focus on meaning rather than form. For language activities, I provide contextualized and authentic language and do not refer to rules or forms at all.

2) Firstly the differences between free activities and the controlled activities. While choosing our activities we should decide what we will focus on '' accurancy or fluency'' If we want to focus on fluency we should choose freer activities , want to focuson accurancy we should choose controlled activities.

I will give information about communicative task when I go back. Generally we do different types of communicative activities in the class but we don't know the name of activitiy type. The meaning and usage of communicative activities are clear enough for me today. I can share them with my colleagues.

3) To be honest ,if I share my experience indirectly with enjoyable activities they will be curious and I am sure that they will learn and apply different activities for their students or they will learn how to diffrentiate the activitiy according to the level of their students.

4)A communicative grammar lesson gives students the opportunity to practice the target grammar item through specific communicative tasks and activities. It means designing grammar lessons to include a communicative task or activity. Some of the activities that often take place in the communicative stage of a grammar lesson are games, role-plays, and discussion activities. Games are an excellent method of communicative grammar practice because they allow students the opportunity to practice and develop language skills in an enjoyable and low-stress manner. I can give them puzzles that take language and communication to work out. By the help of such activities I can make my classes more communicative with grammar.

READING SKILL - POST READING ACTIVITY
My students can make a paper slide as a post reading activity. A paper slide presentation is a creative way of presenting. One advantage of it , I can divide up groups and tasks. In the class ,I can divide my students into 4 groups and give them the equipment they need. In each group there will be the weaker ones and stronger ones. The weaker ones can draw pictures of environmental problems and write the interseting numbers mentioned in the text. The stronger ones can make sentences about the the pictures and numbers related to environment. After that I can give my mobile phone to each group one by one and all the groups can record their presentations without any technical problems. They don't need to have a mobile phone or a digital video camera, they can just use my mobile phone and present their paper slides.
After watching all the presentations they can comment on each other's presentations.
With this post reading activity all the students can take part in lesson actively . There is no limits to what you can do with your paper slides. You can do in a class time as a paper slide presentation should be about two to three minutes in length. And each student can have a responsibility if you do group works. This can be drawing, recording, saying a word or just flipping through the paper slides.

Which comments do you agree with and why?

1) There are more disadvantages than advantages in using translation to teach meaning.
I agree with this comment because translation slows down learning and doesn't foster thinking in a Second Language.By giving translations of words, we are not giving the student mental images of words that the student can internalize and later easily use in speech.

2) It's really important to teach learners ow to keep vocubulary notebooks to store all the information about new words.

I am not sure that I agree or not with that comment as keeping vocabulary notebooks can sometimes be useful.Especially my female students like writing the vocabulary with crayons and they keep writing regularly and they underline the words that they can't memorize. Also it can be a way of for students to take control of their vocabulary learning if they have reponsibility but my students generally don't like writing and memorizing.

3)Getting to know words is like getting to know a friend -you learn more about them bit by bit.

I agree with this comment because we improve our vocabulary day by day. You can't learn each detail in your friend's life immediately. You should spend time together to learn each other. There are many ways to learn vocabulary but no one way works for each student. Every one learns in his/ her speed and capacity. While learning and teaching vocabulary we should be patient and use different methods.

1) The role of a PLC facilitator is not to be teacher educator. My responsibility is sharing my experience and my willingness to share with my colleagues. In PLC we shouldn't forget that we will not teach somenone a new thing ,we will share applied experience and challenges that we have experienced in our classes. This should be in a friendly environment.

2) I feel excited as PLC is a chance for me to improve myself and practice my English. Learning my colleagues' experience is very fruitful and I am looking forward to sharing them with my colleagues and learning their experience in my region. I believe that I can manage it. “If we believe in what we do, we can make many important changes in the long term.

3) Under the co-ordination of the Ministry and with the help of PLC facilitators we have had perfect time. We have learnt and share many enjoyable ways of teaching English. Our PLC facilitators are very organized and friendly. We have a friendly learning atmosphere. I know that I am not alone, whenever I need help I can call them this is an incredible opportunity and facility. I will use my PLC facilitators' useful experience when I go back.

4) I will try to create a whatsapp group firstly.
