Antarctica environment



People might
think that Antarctica is the most pristine land untouched by human disturbance

But for 100 years people have been travelling
to Antarctica and in that time people don’t just leave foot prints.

Human impact may include

Harvesting Antarctic to near
extinction

Killing plus disturbing  species of animals

Contaminating the soils

Discharging sewage to the sea and leaving
most rubbish

Krill population decreasing

Elephant seal population decreasing
