Music: Music fitting with the music in the first part of the clip.

Foreshadowing: Showing us that he always wears a helmet for a reason, the doctor takes August away for a reason and the surgery proof.

Idiom: Lamb to a slaughter

Genre: We know that it will be an adventure, drama and realistic story because it is based on real life, an adventure of learning to survive through tough times and drama with hard friendships like other movies.

Parody:Blanket looking like an astronaut suit. Star wars/lightsabers

Tone: The movie shows us that August is a lonely boy instead of a deformed boy.

Conflict: After seeing August's face, we would know that this is a story with people bullying him for his face. We know this because of other movies we've watched.

Foreshadowing: the foreshadowing is the same as the conflict as we can know what kind of story will happen. We can infer that he is a lonely boy because he's only playing with his sister. We can then infer that he is lonely for a specific reason.

Narrator: The narrator of this clip was August and he talked to us in a TONE that made us feel bad for him.

Motifs: The recurring theme in the clip was how bad things always happened to August, how the man at the hospital was in his first day, he's lonely in the park, etc.

Parallelism: How August and Nate (his father) disagreed with his Mother to going to school.

Antagonist: The mother is the antagonist in this clip as she makes august go to school

Theme: The theme is the moral of the story and the moral of the small clip and movie is Don't judge a book by its cover. When we first see Auggie in "space", it impacts us. Having us queston where we are.
 
Narration:
How Auggie talks and voices over the starting sequences. The way he narrates, adds to the suspense and emotion. mixed with music and the way he's summarising some things about himself. Is very effective.

Music:
In space the music is faint, we hear more of the Austronaut suit. When he going back to his bedroom, and during the "school argument". The music is kinda emotional.

Foreshadowing: 
How Auggie is wearing an astronaut helmet, has us question his appearance. During the school tour, how Auggie is questioned by Julian. The puestion isn't seen as positive, so this has us think that he's the antagonist.

Characterisation: 
After the "school" arguement, Auggie goes to his room. He reveals himself, having us question why hed go to school. It also has us feel suspensful, that moment is kinda like the highest climactic point. During the start of the story, if the audience hadnt already seen trailers and posters etc, for the movie.

Protagonist:
The protagonist can depend, it can depend on the POV. When were in someone elses POV, than they are the antagonist. It's their POV, same with Auggie, Via, Miranda, Summer and Justin. 

Antagonist:
There are a few antagonists, a protagonist become one too. An antagojnist is the one causing confilcict. In this case its Julian, Amos, Henry and the other bullies. But Amos & Henry become allies with Auggie, so yeah take them off. Jack is seen as an antagonist, 

Conflict:
Conflict is mostly caused by Julian, but we can add some little bits to the people who, are going along with the "plaugue" idea. Conflict is also caused "physically", between Jack and Julian. But yeah, the fight was caused by Julian, he influenced it. So yeah, Julian is  the one causing most of the conflict.

Parralelism:
This is when two or more characters have simularities. During the arguement scene, Nate disagrees with Auggie going to school. While Isabelle, agrees.

Mood:
The mood is set through the music, narration and short moments. Envolved with the start of Auggies chapter.

Theme:
Through all of the things and evidence, we can conclude that he's gonna get bullied. This is also backed up during the tour, but that isnt part of the introduction. This has the audience theorise, that the message could be about discrimination and everything like that.

You see him with a helmet, like at the beginning. This the leads him closing his door. Which he does multiple times to show his anger, sadness and self-doubt. Sort of like closing a door, shutting everyone out like his helmet instead wanting to see stars instead of glaring faces.

The setting changes rapidly. Park, hospital, home.
You see towards the end of the clip - his bed is an astronaut, a planet-carpet, and a Star Wars one.
You hear his voice narrating his life and what he feels. It shows that dialogue can be powerful.

He first introduces his parents and sister.

He explains the amount of surgeries he had, yet we are eager in the book and the film that we're not sure what he'd look like.
The beginning wasn't Auggie but someone talking about someone of the moon.

"I know I'm not an ordinary ten year old kid."

The first opening sentence to hook us in to wonder why he isn't ordinary.

When the movie starts we hear soft music and an astronaut slowly bouncing in "space" but one smart thing they did is the reflection from the helmet revealing its just an ordinary room so that means we can "see" Auggie's imagination.

When Auggie explains how he does ordinary things it makes us wonder how he looks which makes us foreshadow what he looks like and what happens because we know that if he was ordinary he wouldn't have to tell us which gives us his point of view and makes him the narrator while making us foreshadow the whole movie which can give us mixed emotions about the movie, in a good way of course.

Foreshadowing:
The foreshadowing is used in the first scene/opening scene because you can tell that he likes to keep his NASA helmet on and the doctor takes Auggie away for a specific reason. When Isabelle and Nate Pullman talk about Auggie's future it hints out that he's going to school and that they're disagreeing to send Auggie to school or not.

Point of View:
The point of view in the opening scene is Auggie's point of view out of many. Point Of View: Clearly, the narrator in this opening scene is August Pullman, a 5th grade person. He has a certain manner,   a way he speaks are different to others. So in this Point Of View, it may seem more real.
Simile:  "Lamb to a slaughter' a quote by August's father when his mother suggested to send him to school. This may lead to foreshadowing to the audience that there is something going on with August.
Appearance: A person's appearance may say a lot about them, when usually people 'judge a book by its cover'. Seeing that August has a NASA helmet, it might help us determine he likes astronomy and wants to hide his face.
Possessions: Items that are held very dear to a protagonist may say something about them, too, and make emotional scenes in the process. Knowing that August treasures his helmet very much, after shown that the helmet is thrown away by his father, it may make a scene where the audience is like, "WHY?? WHY DID THE FATHER DO THAT!?". This is shown to affect the viewer a lot.
Character: When it comes to characters, children are often the characters who affect the audience the most. Knowing their youth, they are often pitied.
