A quesadilla, is a Mexican dish, consisting of a tortilla that is filled primarily with cheese, and sometimes meats, beans, vegetables, and spices, and then cooked on a griddle. I have made my own quesadillas, in the past, and I enjoyed them very much. In mine, I included cheddar cheese and grilled chicken, but I have also tried just a plain, cheese quesadilla, which is probably my favorite. After tasting numerous Spanish foods, I can definitely say that the quesadilla is a big hit on my part and I will having them again for sure. Not only that, I plan to expand the number of Spanish foods that I have tried.

Many people believe that school is pointless if you do not plan to pursue a career that requires further education. However, what these people fail to consider is the fact that education is a privilege and should be taken seriously due to its measure of importance. Education is the process of facilitating learning, or the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, beliefs, and habits. Having an education system helps students to learn valuable information, skills, and trades that, without it we would have a large number of people in the world who are uneducated and taken advantage of. So, in my own personal opinion, I believe the education system is a useful and reasonable thing that we have going.

Tenochtitlán is a large Mexica city-state in what is now the center of Mexico City. Tenochtitlán is an Aztec city that flourished between 1325 A.D. and 1521 A.D. it’s built on an island called Lake Texcoco. Hernán Cortés destroyed Tenochtitlán after a siege in 1521. There is a legend that says the Aztec people left their home city of Aztlan nearly 1,000 years ago and Tenochtitlán ended up being founded by one of the Aztec groups known as the Mexica. Tenochtitlán was the capital of the Aztec Empire until it was captured in the year 1521 by the Spanish.

In 1545, people of the Aztec nation started coming down with headaches, bleeding from the eyes, high fevers, and also bleeding from the nose and mouth. Within 3-4 days, people started dying. Within 5 years over 15 million people died from these symptoms. This was known as smallpox. All bacterial pathogens were tested and nothing showed up, therefore no one knew why so many people were dying. It is said to be possible that some pathogens were either undetected or completely unknown, like the smallpox virus. Salmonella enterica was present in that time period so it was assumed that, that was why people were dying so quickly.

In the Aztecs, people can go on the Old Spanish National Historic Trail to Downtown Aztec. It is tricky to find the trails today due to how long ago they were used. The first journey on the trail was led in 1829 by Antonio Armijo and it is said that people never took the same trail twice due to how many trails there are. Today people can follow the trail from the picnic area which takes you over the bridge across the Animas River. That then leads you to the historic Aztec for shopping and also to grab a bite to eat.
