She was alone and lived in a old abandoned cabin. One morning she was awakened på Trout and Linda Walker. Kate realised that she was Lindas teacher. They got poor and wanted to find Katherine's hidden loot. Kate got hit because they could not find the loot. Then suddenly a yellow-spotted lizard leaped towards them and landed on Kate's ankle. That's how Katherine Barlow died. When Stanley and the other boys were digging it was a storm. Stanley saw something. The peak looked like a giant fist, with the thumb sticking straight up. It was God's thumb.

She lived in a cabin. She started imagening that Sam is with her. 
After months Trout Walker and his wife Linda Walker tied Kate up,when she was asleep. Trout had lost all his money and wanted to know  where Kate's outaw loot is. They made Kate walk barefoot in the hot desert, becouse she refused to tell them where the loot was. But a yellow-spotted lizerd bit Kate, and she died.

The weather was humied at Camp Green Lake. There was thunder and lightning but no rain. During a flash of lighting Stanley thought he saw a gaint fist with a thumb sticking up. "He was nobody," Mr. Pendanski says.  The new kid calls himself Twitch and brags about stealing cars and he can't stay or sit still.
