Saying “oh my God” when your mad or upset is using God’s name in vain, so I have to watch myself when I say it, considering it’s so normal to say it, religious or non religious.

Recently it has become very huge in my life as I have been struggling with a few things. When things become hard I just tell myself certain verses like “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”, “peace be still” & “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me” and when I say these to myself it allows me to calm down and continue on putting my faith in god.
