He's a half-white, aboriginal fourteen year old that doesn't go to school. Jasper is a strong, friendly, self-reliant,  loving, and caring person that looks after you if your nice to him. Jasper Jones mother is dead and his father is no good because his an alcoholic. This means that he has to live with what he gets. The quote in the book on page 3 says ' He looks like an island castaway'. 

The people that live Corrigan live in a small mining town. Jasper Jones's reputation in Corrigan isn't the best because he's a Thief, a Liar, a Thug, a Truant. He's lazy and unreliable. He's a feral and an orphan, or as good as. He's a thirteen-fourteen year old white boy that goes to school and his dad, 'Wesley Bucktin' is a teacher at the school. Charlie struggles because he is scared and has a lot of fears. Charlie is weak, soft, smart, friendly and caring.
Charlie is a small scrawny  white boy that wears glasses, has short brown hair, he has a baby face and is  lanky.

Hair: Boys had long, flowing hair with tips. Girls had a boyish short hair cut.
Sport: AFL, rugby league and rugby union was a big hit on Australian TV. Women were trying to get equal rights in sport. Australian's tennis play Margaret Smith Court is considered to be on of the best tennis players.

Charlie is in there grade because when he came over to Australia he got put in a grade up. Jeffrey is a strong, aggressive, focused and sporty kid. He plays cricket and is real good at it.

Jeffrey's family deals with racism and discrimination from most od the people in Corrigan.
