It is important to have this resource in this tool kit because there are strategies as to how professional development and bilingual education should be carried out through each role in a school, specifically at the administrative and teacher levels. It is also important to have this resource here as a reminder as to how bilingual education is a direct relationship to the growth in graduation rates for the bilingual education in the state of Texas. It is a strong reminder as to how teachers can influence an emerging bilingual into continuing their education, and therefore keeps a teacher persevering through hard times during their career. </p>]]></description>

It also helps teachers realize that this is a recognition across the nation, not just in their classroom or school. </p>]]></description>

It shows that all students in the classroom are saying the same thing in their own language. I think it would be important for them to create their own reflection on what the quote means to them in order for them to grow in their empathy with their classmates. </p>]]></description>
