1. What is the weather like in a
desert?

2. Describe the soil shown in the
photo. How does it compare
to soil where you live?

3. Does this oasis have space for
more plants to grow? Why do
you think more plants aren’t
growing here?

Some desert lands are covered in dry sand and nothing else—no water, no plants, and no animals. But even Earth’s largest and driest deserts are dotted with oases like this one. An oasis is a small region in a desert where plants grow. Rain rarely falls in the desert, but a steady supply of water can reach an oasis from underground

1). I think the weather in the desert is humid and hot because if it rains it gets humid since its sand. and its hot because there are no lakes or swamps there.
2). The soil there is dry and hard from the picture. the soil from where i live i black with worms inside. yes the oasis has space to put plants there because there is a lot of space.we just have to put soil for the plants to grow and maybe like a swamp or lake.i think plants dont grow in the desert because there is no water for the plants to nutrition them.
