It made me realise that we do not need a lot of materialistic things to learn, nature is wonderful and we can learn so much from it. I really enjoyed the discussion we had on multiculturalism. How can we live in a multicultural society with respect and understanding. We need to know first of all and understand. We do this by caring and then acting. We need to try and understand everyone around us and respect. In Leicester where we live, it is known to be a multicultural city. However instead of integration there is segregation as communities live together in certain areas. 
The lunch we had was so delicious and I did some snorkelling! I just love having time to myself to enjoy the beautiful nature around me.

A really important subject for us in our school and community. Not being frightened to ask questions about people’s  lives and culture is so important and not to be avoided. As always sharing food and stories furthers our understanding of each other . Snorkelling for me pushed me out of my comfort zone as I haven’t done it for years but I pushed myself to jump off the boat and I was in paradise. How often do we push our children out of their comfort zone , we need to be mindful of that but with support they can reap the benefits.

What a perfect island with white sand and turquoise sea, amazing classroom! We had a good conversation about multicuturalism. Also in our school in Finland we have pupils from many different countries. We learned also more french, it is very, very difficult for me. Maybe some day I can speak little french :) Lunch was very tasty, that fish was so good. 
I was so exited to snorklle, that now my back is very red and burned. But I saw so many beautiful and colourful fish.
On the way back, we stopped in mangroveforrest and the place where were a lot of different seabirds. Sea was full of life. Like snorkeling in aquarium! Fantastic experience! Multicultural school is something that we’re aiming to. We have many Russian students in our school and even if we have tried to integrate them, Russians are hanging tight their own habbits and their are afraid to loose own culture and tradition. I enjoyed the baking of bananas, and the taste of fish still lasts for a long time. I conquered myself - after having talked with friends, I finally dared to dip under the water with diving accessories.

Colour of the day was turquoise! We spent a day in chrystal clear turquoise water, swimming and snorkeling. Ship wreck, many type of fishes, clams, corals we could find under the water surface. There is another hidden word under the  water, you just need to go and see it.
