First and foremost, geographically, we go from yearly blizzards to tornadoes to wildfires. We go from impressive mountain ranges to flat plains to humongous canyons. That being said, the actual people aspects leave much to be desired. Our capitalist system, while intended to promote hard work and success ends up disproportionately disadvantaging those who do not start with wealth. And even those considered "middle-class" are slowly slipping away from the wealthy as the gap between the people and the 1% gets larger and larger. We, as a nation, have managed to monetize almost every aspect crucial to human existence, including life-saving medicines and healthcare.
I will say, even though I'd argue that capitalism is failing us, the people, we are a very driven nation. That being said, that does frequently manifest in greed and selfishness reflecting in many interactions had with both the general public and the corporations that run our country.

We've got technology, lots of nice tourist traps like beaches and cities and whatnot, and a pretty great entertainment industry. We've also got a pretty aggressive freedom of speech thing going on over here. Unfortunately, that's also the source of most of our problems. Don't get me wrong, freedom of speech is absolutely essential, but it also allows prejudice to run rampant without consequence. Basically, our government is a mess and even though it's supposed to be democratic it's often very complicated, corrupt, and outrageous. We've got WILD gun control issues, and the gap between the rich and the poor just keeps getting bigger and bigger (but I really don't have the mental capacity to get into capitalism right now). As much as America has massive advantages and heaps of potential, right now it's kind of one big cesspool for hate, discrimination, violence, and selfishness. It is important to take in the freedom of speech, religion and most importantly the freedom from fear. But these do come to an extent. From a bird's eye view, America has a scope of cultures and supports ideals of individualism. We live in a capitalist country where labor is important yet does not determine success, as you can be oppressed indirectly by race, gender, or religion. We hold unrealistic principles of health and financial prosperity that only are seen in a small percentage of the top of the social pyramid. Also, in your terms, the immigration process is prolonged, so the commitment to residence should be certain when entering America.

The experience of America is how you see it and interact with your environment.
