ME also introduced first actually good restore point system, where users could roll back in time if something went wrong in the OS so that they wouldn't have to do a complete reinstall.

All through good features were introduced, with them came a lot of performance and stability issues which caused the ME to be "the worst operating system Microsoft ever released".
