BLM is now one of the biggest movements in the world. This all started when a teenage boy named George Michael Zimmerman shot him dead on a february day. This apparently happened as a hate crime, and nothing more. The goal of this event was for George to show hate. This started up many things in the future, one being one of the biggest political movements to date. The goal for this was to show how many people care about him, and the multiple other lives that were lost. The protest didn't do too much, but it did show that people care and people wanted the officers to know what they're doing. When there's big people talking about something important, people are more likely to listen, and since LeBron is also a black man, he probably cares about this topic. This isn't necessarily a protest, but I'd say LeBron speaking out was quite helpful in this topic. A black man named Philandro Castile was killed before being found not guilty. The goal of this event was to make sure if someone is guilty of a crime and not kill someone who you think is doing something bad. I bet this protest got into some peoples heads, and people are most likely thinking twice before shooting. But this protest did soon turn violent. People injured 21 officers, and 102 people have been arrested. George was killed by Derek kneeling on his neck, until Georges passing. People across America got furious, and started yet another protest. This protest was wild. It went from protests to riots within short periods of time, with the riots ranging from rioting stores, setting buildings on fire, invading private property, attacking people, and many more things.The goal of this protest was to show justice to George Floyd, and they all wanted Derek Chauvin imprisoned. These protests and riot were effective. These protests and riots have caused many monuments have been removed in the U.S., funds from some cities defunded their cities police, but also many people were arrested and hurt.
