My name is Lev and I have been dancing since I was 5 years old ranging from classical ballet technique to modern and post modern technique. Some of my aspirations for this project is to delve deeper into the physics of dancing because I have learned a lot about the anatomy of dancing but not the physical concept of it, which I find very intriguing. My first impression was that I felt kind of intimidated because many people in the physics field, or any science field for that matter, are very intelligent.

My name is Haley Sanders and I have been dancing for 7 years. During this class I hope to learn more about how physics and dance can be collaborative. I have never taken physics before so I know nothing about it and i'm excited to see how much science we use each time we dance. It will be interesting to see what we all come up with.

What I hope to get out of this class is more tools to put in my creative tool box. I believe to look at things in different perspective can greatly impact new and fresh ideas to come to the surface, so I'm very excited for this collaboration. My initial impression was a little bit of intimidation, but if we all collaborate in ideas and effort to our tasks, I feel a lot of great things can happen!

My name is Nancy Pham. This is my four year attending in SDSU. My life time goal is to improve myself and the standard of living for my child through higher education. I had always loved the sciences, and I enjoyed this field immensely. I hope to learn dance techniques that I can apply towards my own projects. I also want to become more familiar with dance to connect the science. My initial impression of the dance collaboration is I’ve been stressing a bit ever since about how to unpack everything that happened in the show with my narrow knowledge and understanding of modern dance.

Hi! My name is Emily Caplan, I am a third year dance major and have been an aspiring creator since I was two. I am trained in classical ballet, studio technique, and many other styles of dance. I am excited to enter this class with an open mind. Our collaboration with physics is very exciting because I came into school Pre-Med and have always been fascinated by the sciences. I have been dancing since I was 3 years old and have known I wanted to dance for the rest of my life since I was really6 little. I aspire to be a studio owner and dance teacher. I thought my first dance class at 11 years old and have been hooked ever since. This class I really hope to get a new perspective on choreography but also I enjoy collaboration between the two fields I am studying, arts and science. Im interested to see how my study of the internal body can be reflected in the outward body movement.

My name is Marco Polo Gonzalez, and i am a fourth/fifth year physics major. I am interested in learning more about polymers after taking a condensed matter physics course and learning about crystaline structures and bonds. Out of this class i am hoping to learn to approach this science-y topic from a new perspective with the help of the dance collaboration. My initial impression was that this could help to demonstrate real life physical properties that we dont always notice, and transcribe them to physical movements that we are able to easily display.

I am a chemistry student here at SDSU. I am have never been in a formal dance class and hope this experience will be a good one. I hope to be able to be more comfortable dancing even though I have no talent in that particular field whatsoever. My first impression of the dance collaboration was a good one, with me being excited to see the dancers moving around before class started, I thought to myself, can I learn that here? (I wanted to learn some of the moves they were preforming).
