In addition to teaching English here at MASH, I also coach soccer, advise Student Council, and help produce the program for Fall Play. I love attending sporting and music events in the district to see how talented all of you are!
Outside of school, I enjoy reading (any genre!) and listening to podcasts. My favorite topics to learn about are history, politics, behavior psychology, and economics. When I'm not reading, I'm probably binge-watching a show on Netflix. My favorite TV series are Grey's Anatomy, Scandal, Parks & Rec, Queer Eye, Madam Secretary, Game of Thrones, The Crown, and Downton Abbey. I usually watch TV shows to de-stress and relax. I also take time to walk my dogs, Dawkins and Scout, and hang out with my husband, Nathan. I'm obsessed with Broadway shows, and I hang all of my playbills from the shows I've seen on my whiteboard. My favorite so far has been Dear Evan Hanson.
The coolest place I have ever visited is Haiti, where I used to go on service trips every summer. Haiti holds a special place in my heart for that reason, and I love hearing about students' trips to other countries! Some of my interests are drawing and reading. I’m into digital art, so im on the computer more often than normal people. There are also a lot of things people do related to my art that i hate. Just a short list: never ask me to draw something for you (i just won’t, and it’ll give me a bad impression of you), never ask to see my sketchbook, never ask me to draw you (because 99 times out of 100, i don't like you enough to talk to you in the first place), and never snatch anything im working on away from me. Currently my favorite book series is The Raven Cycle. I also love listening to Musical soundtracks and my favorites right now are Dear Evan Hansen, Hamilton, and Heathers. When im not doing any of those, i watch shows like Parks and Rec and the Office (which are two of my favorites). I have two younger brothers, Hudson and Emmett. If you see a pair of short asian boys that look alike walking around then that’s probably them. Hudson is an eighth grader this year and Emmett is in seventh. I don't have a dog. I tell my mom every day that i need a dog and at this point i think she would rather jump out a window.
