         <description><![CDATA[<p>This programme aims to<strong> </strong>produce Nurses who:&nbsp;</p><ul><li><p>Have the knowledge, skills and attributes to contribute to the safe and effective&nbsp;delivery of care.&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Demonstrate professionalism in accordance with the regulatory standards.&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Maintain their development to ensure contemporary care is assessed, planned and delivered.&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Work effectively within a team and can work autonomously as required.&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Advocate for patients and carers as circumstances develop and require.&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Contribute to the effective working of the multi-disciplinary team.&nbsp;</p></li></ul><p><br></p><p>Apprentices will complete <strong>25 hours each week </strong>on the apprenticeship which over the course of 4 years for the RNDA, demonstrates the requirement for <strong>NMC registration&nbsp;of&nbsp;4600 hours&nbsp;in total. This will either be 25 hours per week in study or 25 hours per week on placement.</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>For FDNA programmes, over the 2 years, this equates to 2300 hours in total. 1150 in year 1 and 1150 in year 2. This will either be 25 hours per week in study or 25 hours per week on placement.</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>For the RPL programme leading to Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship (RNDA), the learner will complete</strong></p><ul><li><p><strong>Level 5:</strong> 52 weeks </p></li><li><p><strong>Level 6:</strong> 52 weeks </p></li><li><p><strong>Total Duration:</strong> 2 years with the same <strong>study commitment of 25 hours/week</strong> (theory/practice)</p></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Progress is monitored consisting of Informal and Formal reporting. Learners will be allocated a Coach who will meet with them <strong>every 12 weeks to complete a mandatory Progress Review. </strong>In addition, the allocated Academic Assessors will have regular contact with the learner to assess their progression in line with NMC standards and support and signpost them to resources for any issues that may arise, including action plans when required. &nbsp;</p>]]></description>

         <title>Practice Placements</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><br/></p><p>50% of the programme comprises time in placement and as the employer, you will organise these in line with the programme planners.</p><p><br/></p><p>To meet NMC standards, the learner will need to experience different placements so time will be spent outside of the employment base for some of the allocated placement time.  This gives you the opportunity to care for different patient groups, in different settings and with different teams.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Supervision and Assessment</strong></p><p>During practice placements, learners will work alongside <strong>Practice Supervisors</strong> and <strong>Practice Assessors</strong> who are trained to support and assess students in the workplace in accordance with the NMC <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.nmc.org.uk/globalassets/sitedocuments/standards/2024/standards-for-student-supervision-and-assessment.pdf">Standards for student supervision and assessment</a>. </p><p><br/></p><p>The practice assessment document is an essential record that demonstrates  learning, skills, and progress throughout the learners time in practice.</p><p><br/></p><p>It contains evidence of  <strong>proficiencies</strong> and the <strong>practice hours</strong> achieved.</p><p><br/></p><p>✅ All Learners are urged to <strong>Keep it safe</strong> – it’s a vital part of their training and needed for their assessments.</p>]]></description>

         <title>Induction, Uniforms and Practical Stuff</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Induction</strong></p><p>At the start of the programme all learners will attend an induction to help orientate them to BPP University and the course.  They will have sessions on how to access and navigate our virtual learning environment where all key information about the modules, timetables and programme requirements are kept.  They will also meet the team who are committed to supporting their journey to success!</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Uniforms</strong></p><p>Different employers have different approaches to uniform policy for apprentices.  Some employers prefer apprentices to continue to wear their uniform, but where this is not the case,  BPP will order a uniform and cover the cost of this.  </p><p><br/></p><p>Learners will be sent a link with measurement instructions for use by our supplier.  Normally uniforms are delivered to the relevant study centre where they can be collected.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Annual Declaration</strong></p><p>In line with NMC standards, learners will be sent a link to an online Declaration of Good Character and Good Health at the beginning of the programme and on an annual basis.  They will need to complete this before being allowed into placement as part of the programme.  </p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p>]]></description>
