For example, think of a museum curator who collects, interprets and organises old artefacts to create a selective display on a particular area. 


So applying this to digital curation, it means integrating our previous knowledge of digital devices and their content to use in new and effective ways. It can also be described as “maintaining, preserving and adding value to digital research data throughout its lifecycle.” (http://www.dcc.ac.uk/digital-curation/what-digital-curation).
