I currently reside at 3100 Lindenwood Drive, in Springfield, Illinois. As a child I attended kindergarten at Black Hawk Elementary and first through fifth grades at Sandburg Elementary. I now am attending Lincoln Magnet Middle School as a eighth grader, it is my third year at this school. I have not taken part in any school sport teams, or clubs while at Lincoln Magnet but was in Girl Scouts in the third grade while attending Sandburg Elementary, and I played soccer as a child. I also participated in Sandburg Singers and the Sandburg News Team. It would have a good cinematography and or screenwriting program, but wouldn’t be extremely expensive as most film schools are. My dream college would be a smaller school, and not have a huge amount of students. I would want my dream college to be more  inclusive and allow me to do more one on one work with my professors and classmates. My dream college also would be a very friendly environment and be a safe place to be. I would want my dream college to be a positive place, and have single bed dorms and private bathrooms. USC is a much smaller school than NYFA, considering it is a private school. It does have a higher tuition but they do offer more scholarships than NYFA. While both schools offer single dorms, NYFA single dorms do not have private bathrooms, and USC’s do. It may seem like a silly thing to prefer but I am not fond of public bathrooms. If I want to attend USC in 2021, I now need to start working hard to get my high school diploma. I will need to ensure I will take the SAT as a high schooler, and study to do well. I will also work to save towards the expensive tuition and could even practice making films at home even and also can work on my writing.]]> 2017-04-03 14:38:39 UTC https://padlet.com/headye/collegeproject/wish/164354558 Why I Chose USC Cinematic Arts University of Southern California headye https://padlet.com/headye/collegeproject/wish/164354597 I chose USC Cinematic Arts University to be the college I strive for because, I like their education programs and think it is a very immersive hands on program which is something I would enjoy. I enjoy how USC lets students do things hands on, and learn from actually filming, directing, instead of just reading books on the subjects. I believe, and know that I personally learn better from actually trying the topic hands on, instead of just reading about it. That's just not how I learn, and I glad that's not how USC teaches their cinematic art programs. Aside from teaching in a way I prefer to, USC has many notable alumni, such as George Lucas the creator of Stars Wars. There are also alumni such as Lee Unkrich who have even directed Disney movies such as Finding Nemo. The only problem was USC are said not to be a great match for me, but the others schools don't offer by majors. Being young making home videos of fun times with family and friends, I’ve always had a love for the camera. I’ve always loved to be behind the lense capturing moments and being able to relive them forever. I’ve been in love with creating and filming my own stories for a long time and I want to advance that interest and strengthen my skills of the the cinematic arts at your prestigious school. 

Using my creative ability I would absolutely love to study in you're cinematography and screenwriting programs. I have countless ideas for scripting, and would be a good candidate to put my ideas to use and learn how to better script and make successful pieces. I am dedicated to my work, and can handle a challenge. I won’t give up and will persevere in dull moments with few ideas, I won’t stop. It’s very important to me to use my ideas, and continue to be creative.

I’ve always loved to be directing writing out play for my cousins and friends to before. Choosing wardrobe and telling stories through film and performance has always been a key in my life. From just performing in small plays in school, or just performing for family, putting on a show it’s all so important to me.

Whether i'm behind the camera of in front of it being a storyteller is a love for me, and I never want to stop advancing at it.
