I have been an educator for over 10 years where I begin as an instructional assistant for students with special needs. As I was working, I continued my education to become a teacher to provide the best education for young students. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my beautiful children! I became a kindergarten teacher because I believe in early childhood education which is the most vital time for students to learn and show school as a positive setting. Often students begin to dislike school at an early age, and I believe my job is to show each student how to enjoy learning. Throughout my experience as an educator, I believe children require being in a safe and nurturing environment. Every child has their own unique talents and as a teacher, it is important for me to help them grow in becoming successful. Education is so rich and diverse and children at early age should be allowed to explore, communicate, problem-solve, and develop into thinking on their own. In my kindergarten class, students will enjoy learning art, reading, math, and science. These subjects will be intertwined with each other to help them understand that subjects are connected and should not be separated. Children should also be respected to ensure they are heard in the classroom when it comes to their likes and dislikes. I hope this class will bring great memories for each student in my classroom.

StarFall
Star Fall is a well-known site to help children with their reading skills.

Sesame Street
The website provide various games and education activities with familiar Sesame Street characters.  The site include games, videos, online practice activities, and much more.

Hour of Code
Hour of Code introduces basic coding skills on a younger level. This is a great site to show students about science, art, math, and technology

The local library and surrounding libraries offer many resources to kindergarten students along with their family and friends. CMRLS has scheduled reading times both in-person and virtual. Summer activity programs, parental assistance, computer services and many more.

Parent to Parent USA
The services allow parents or caregivers who have children  with special needs to communicate and network with each other by sharing information, creating new friendships, and gaining support.

Southern Christian Services for Children and Youth
The site is a nonprofit organization that help with assistance with families in financial crisis or need in the state of MS. The organization assists with homelessness and help prevent children from moving through foster care by placing them in loving homes.

The Council for Exceptional Children 
This is a national organization with community services in most states.  The organization assists with supporting and assisting parents who have children with special needs. Various services are open to help families and friends communicate and socialize so children can grow to their fullest potential.

The M.O.R.G.A.N. Project
Helps families find resources such as insurance and other financial assistance for students with disabilities. The organization assists families with travel expenses for medical treatments, equipment, and provides social support.
