Reverend Parris brings in Reverend John Hale, who is an expert on witchcraft, to diagnose his daughter.<br>3. Reverend Parris discovers his daughter, her cousin Abigail, and her friends dancing in a field with his slave Tituba. He saw Tituba saying inaudible words and waving her arms over a fire, and Parris thought he spotted someone running naked through the trees.<br>4. Abigail tells the girls that she told Parris about what they did in the woods, but Betty cries in hope that Abigail did not tell Parris about drinking blood to kill Elizabeth Proctor.<br>5.&nbsp;Abigail strikes Betty across the face and warns the other girls to only confess that they danced and that Tituba conjured Ruth’s dead sisters. She threatens to kill them if they speak about the other things they did.</div>]]></description>
